Vancouver Cello Quartet

Presented by the Vancouver Chamber Music Society (VCMS) in collaboration with Anvil Centre.

One of the Vancouver Chamber Music Society audiences’ most well-loved chamber ensemble, the Vancouver Cello Quartet opens the 2022 New Westminster Series. The Vancouver Cello Quartet is comprised of four dedicated professional who have performed original works and arrangements for cellos since 2012. This ensemble of classically trained players celebrates the unequaled sound of four cellos. Their carefully curated program includes arrangements of classical treasures from around the world including Mozart’s well-loved Divertimento in D and Stravinsky’s Suite Italienne. With an air of light and entertaining outdoor music, this eclectic combination of classical masterpieces and hidden gems promises to be entertaining and accessible to long-time and new classical music audiences. The Vancouver Chamber Music Society is the leading presenter in western Canada of high-calibre chamber music featuring world-renowned chamber ensembles, and solo and recital artists. Their program, steeped in the rich tradition of classical music, meets contemporary audiences in a familiar and intimate way at the modern theatre space in New Westminster’s modern Anvil Centre.

PLEASE NOTE: By order of the Provincial Health Officer (PHO), proof of vaccination and government issued ID must be presented in order to access indoor concerts, theatre, dance and symphony events.
