ALUMINA - 10-YEAR ANNIVERSARY CONCERT

Wings Vocal Collective (WVC) is proud to present ALUMINA, an evening of contemporary and choral music, hosted at the Anvil Theatre. Join us on Saturday, November 16th at 7:00 pm for our 10-Year Anniversary Concert, featuring members from all different eras of WVC to celebrate our growth over the past decade. ALUMINA celebrates the concept of the past meeting the present, and the intertwining stories and achievements of our community. Looking back at our origins of a humble octet and our journey towards expanding into our current “collective” of singers with unique backgrounds and talents, we are excited to revisit music and memories over the past decade with our audience. ALUMINA will feature songs that honour the history of our group, ranging from the classic pop tunes of Coldplay and U2 to musical theatre selections from Dear Evan Hansen and The Lion King. We hope that by showcasing how far we’ve come in the past 10 years, we’ll make new fans and friends and continue to create musical memories for audiences, both old and new.

ABOUT WINGS VOCAL COLLECTIVE

Wings Vocal Collective (WVC) was founded by a group of eight friends in 2014 who wanted to create musical experiences they could call their own. The group has since expanded to include a rotating roster of more than twenty members: all passionate and versatile vocal performers coming from various professions consisting of engineering, health care, education, law, social sciences, marketing, visual arts, and music. Since its inception, WVC has performed at numerous high profile corporate and charity events, competed in local and international vocal competitions, and presented several sold-out shows performing songs from various genres including pop, rock, R&B, gospel and choral music.
